Intern Business Development Representative Overview
The Intern Business Development Representative is responsible for identifying and qualifying potential prospects through various digital platforms, initiating outreach, and coordinating with the sales team to drive business growth. This role requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of IT sales, and a proactive approach to lead development and sales support.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and compile a list of potential leads through platforms such as LinkedIn, company websites, and other databases.
- Conduct initial outreach via email, phone calls, and social media to introduce company products and services.
- Schedule meetings or product demonstrations with the sales team for qualified prospects.
- Assist in preparing marketing materials, including email templates, pitch decks, and proposal documents.
- Support the sales team during presentations and client meetings.
- Track and report prospecting activities, lead progress, and results to the supervisor regularly.
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Enrolled as a final-year student in a Communication or Marketing program.
- Available to commit to a 6-month internship period.
- Minimum prior experience in a similar business development or sales role.
- Strong understanding of IT solutions and technology sales models.
- Experienced in telemarketing and prospecting through digital channels such as phone calls, LinkedIn, email, and WhatsApp.
- Previous experience in selling Microsoft products is a significant plus.
- Proficiency in English (particularly reading and listening).
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
